Tender Extraction: An 8-week Practice Group in Hospicing Modernity
In Hospicing Modernity: Facing Humanity’s Wrongs and the Implications for Social Activism, Vanessa de Oliveira Andreotti invites readers into the work of tenderly extracting ourselves from modernity. She frames this as a “different way of breathing together, where we learn from the wrongs and mistakes of the past so that we can only make new mistakes in the future.” In this practice group, we will create ritual space for leaning into these layers of inquiry. Together, we will learn and unlearn, grieve and heal, and metabolize and compost those decolonial habits which are ready to be released.
