The challenges of these times are very real. How do we navigate the emotional upheaval that so often accompanies the grief, anger, and despair we feel in response to what’s happening in the world? Unfortunately, most of us were not offered the skills to navigate our emotions. We were taught to repress our ‘negative’ emotions and be happy. But ‘happy’ doesn’t always reflect what we feel inside. Suppressing our emotions can have negative impacts on our well-being, our health, our relationships, and even our livelihood. What might happen if we were to step back and take a wider view of what's happening around us and how our lives are unfolding?

The Work That Reconnects, developed by Joanna Macy, is a set of transformative practices that invite us to take a fresh look at what we see happening in the world around us. It beckons us to recognize the wider web of life, to rise from a foundation of gratitude, embracing the entirety of our truth, so we can fully thrive. As we move through the phases of the Spiral of the Work–Gratitude, Honoring Our Pain for the World, Seeing with New Eyes, and Going Forth–we remember the value of our emotional landscape. By identifying our unique contribution to the world and connecting with our inner resources, we build our resilience which supports us in navigating these chaotic times of great possibility.

If you've experienced Frieda's facilitation before, you may know that her offerings are emergent, experiential and entirely dependent upon who shows up. Together facilitator and participants create a field of intimacy and depth that carries all on the journey of the spiral, together and beyond.

This series supports emerging facilitators considering entering a facilitator development program.

In an effort to create a space of depth and intimacy, this offering will be limited to 12 participants. Reserve your space today.

This series is offered in the spirit of generosity with space reserved for those who may not have access to financial resources. In order to make these offerings viable and continue to offer this important work to those with less access to finances, I ask a sliding scale payment between $120-$200. Please note where you align and contribute accordingly via PayPal at paypal.me/FriedaNixdorf or via Venmo at Frieda-Nixdorf. If this payment presents a hardship to you and you feel strongly called to join this offering, please reach out and connect with me.
