Frieda Nixdorf
Friedaβs work focuses on drawing community into transformational experiences to remember our belonging, our interdependence, and our kinship with the more-than-human world. Her great love is supporting humanity in navigating the liminal space of transition from Business as Usual into the Great Turning.
Among many other things, Frieda has studied art and design, religion and psychology, yoga and the somatics of humans in movement, the energetics of trauma and healing, practices of ego dissolution and soul alignment, and the intricacies of the beautiful and broken world on this gem of a planet we call home.
Frieda has taught Eastern and Western Psychology at the community college level, and Soul Purpose at the graduate level, and has been incorporating Soul embodiment and Work That Reconnects practices into everything she does since she first met Joanna in graduate school in 2002. Frieda is a Weaver on the Work That Reconnects Network team.
Frieda currently resides on the unceded ancestral homelands of the Nisenan People, in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada in Northern California. Frieda lives with her small family of three humans, two dogs, three chickens and more plant and animal beings than she can count.
