Water is Love: Ripples of Regeneration follows a group of young people grappling with the climate crisis while the filmmakers journey around the world to share inspiring stories of regenerative ecosystem design to create water retention in communities, villages, and regions.

The film touches upon traditional ecological knowledge, how water makes climate, and the importance of restoring complete water cycles.

Through inspiring stories from successful projects in India, Kenya, and Portugal, the film inspires conversations and actions that contribute to a regenerative and resilient world. As we’re facing both the growing devastating impacts of climate disruption and the failure of governments to act, this film points to an often overlooked need and possibility: community-driven decentralized water management as a critical key for surviving — and thriving in — this century.

‘Uba Seo

Cultures throughout the world believe water holds memory. Many river cultures also have water spirits who sing stories. Drawing upon ancestral teachings of two rivers: Uba Seo and Rhine River, ‘Uba Seo, is an audio video experience in which Nisenan Culture Bearer Shelly Covert sings the story of Uba Seo and the Great Destruction, called the gold rush by others. The film seeks to inspire a re-connection with water in the way of the ancestors by telling the true story of people and place in the native Nisenan language.

‘Uba Seo is a collaboration between Shelly Covert and Heidi Quante.

Seating is limited, advance registration and reciprocity payment is required.
